Not only can the idea and articles themselves be applied to more real-world type promotions, but I have the found the long term benefits of keeping content on your own site to be priceless. My child care site has a list of 1700 long tail key word phrases that brought in traffic over the past few months.

Also, Digg, Sphinn, Reditt, Propeller and others are getting flooded with obvious link bait articles that are not really useful or interesting. The online marketing industry has to start putting more thought and basic marketing theory into their link bait. Cornwallseo was just talking about a linkbait article where a boys illegal exploits were fabricated just for the sake of link bait.

Wow! Very interesting idea. I work with a Missouri truck accident law firm (http://the-truckaccidentlawyers.com) that could use something like this for truck accidents. Maybe a bulleted list of afetry procedures, something that truck drivers or truck driving companies could download and place somewhere inside the dashboard of the truck - to remind them of road safety while driving long hours.
